They also learn about differential diagnosis, special education and rehabilitation, treatment, and scientific research-related work. Professionals trained in social pedagogy study are prepared to do scientific research and deal with people, groups, and communities who either already exhibit problematic behavior or are at risk of doing so. The prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment intervention of behavioral problems and criminality in children, teens, and adults are all covered by professional activities. The study of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) prepares professionals for careers in augmentative and alternative communication, hearing impairment, and the prevention, detection, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of voice, speech, and language disorders.
The Rehabilitation Study educates professionals for work in specialized centers, departments, pediatric clinics, preschools, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, social welfare centers, civil society organizations, research centers, and private practices. PROGRAMME EMPHASIS
The integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of kinesiology lasts five years, consisting of ten semesters. In the first six semesters, students attend classes in basic kinesiological disciplines and interdisciplinary fields. In the fourth year, students must select one compulsory module in education and one module in applied kinesiology, providing additional qualifications for work in sports, physical recreation, kinesitherapy, or sports management. After completing the university study, students earn the academic title Master of Kinesiology and are qualified to work in educational institutions at all levels. Students who complete their university studies in kinesiology also receive an additional qualification of the same degree, which is appended to their basic academic title, in accordance with their chosen module in one of the applied kinesiology domains. This enables any university graduate studying kinesiology to obtain two professional certifications at the same level and two double academic titles: Master of Kinesiology in: Education comes first, followed by a particular sport, kinesiological recreation, kinesitherapy, or sports management.
Masters of kinesiology teach physical education classes in Croatia's educational system, from preschool to postsecondary education. They organize extracurricular activities and sports recreational programs for students in various institutions. They manage competitive sports activities for children, teenagers, and adults, focusing on sports achievements and high performance. They also organize physical recreation for children and adults, implement kinesitherapeutic procedures, and offer sports programs for persons with disabilities. They are qualified to establish scientifically the process of exercising and assess the expected kinesiological effects in physical education teaching. They also discuss health-related issues related to the well-being benefits of participants in kinesiological activities.
The faculty is a significant hub for scientific research in the Republic of Croatia, doing both basic and applied research in the subjects of general and applied kinesiology as well as related or related scientific disciplines, primarily anthropology. Currently, about 5000 reference materials form the basis of the body of knowledge in Croatian kinesiology. These materials include professional and scientific journal articles, conference proceedings, books and chapters in books, research project reports, master's and doctorate theses, and research project reports. These scientific products are the end products of expertise studies, scientific projects, and experimentally oriented investigations carried out as part of the faculty's normal research activities.
