PROGRAMME EMPHASIS
The faculty in Croatia focuses on classical disciplines, rooted in Aristotelian and Thomist traditions, and theology as a science of religion. This unique program is unique in Croatia, focusing on dialogue with other religions, Christian denominations, and society. It is organized according to models from other world universities, offering interdisciplinary scientific fields within the humanities.
Graduates of the Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies can work in academic administration, broadcasting and television companies, media corporations, and secondary schools as teachers of philosophy, logic, politics, ethics, and religious education. They can also work at faculties or scientific institutes.
The Faculty of Philosophy and Religious Studies' research focus is enhanced by fresh philosophical and scientific findings while remaining rooted in a "philosophical patrimony that is perennially valid." Research efforts aim to deepen our understanding of man and his life, foster philosophical and religious contemplation and interaction with the modern world, and cultivate and enhance the study of philosophy and religion. With a particular focus on religious science, the research aims to enhance interreligious understanding in our distinctive multicultural and multireligious society.

The Philosophical-Theological Study Program grants a Master of Theology degree, allowing individuals to work in various fields such as church services, scientific research, spiritual assistance, mission countries, publishing, human resources, public sector counselling, media outlets, church administration, librarianship, archivists, pastoralism, family counseling, and ethics committees. The Undergraduate Study of Theological-Religious Sciences offers a bachelor's degree in theological-Religious Sciences, allowing individuals to work in elementary and high schools, religious education, parishes, social and humanitarian institutions, and media outlets. Both degrees offer various opportunities for professional development and professional growth.
The University Graduate Study of Theological-Religious Sciences consists of five major modules: Religious Education/ Teaching Module, Pastoral-catechetical Module, Cultural Goods of the Church, Christian Humanism and Economic Development, and Ecumenism and Interreligious Dialogue. The student earns a Master of Theological-Religious Sciences, which can be used in various fields such as elementary and high schools, pre-schools, parish communities, tourist guides, church museums, and non-profit organizations. Similarly, a bachelor's degree in church music allows the student to work in various areas of church music, including as an official organist and choir leader, in research, development, transcription, archive, presentation, and promotion of the church's musical heritage, coordinate and moderate liturgical celebrations, work in the media as a music editor, journalist, or critic, and work professionally in the field of musical activities in culture.
By completing the Church Music-Music Pedagogy graduate study program, the student earns the academic degree of Master in Church Music-Music Pedagogy (abbreviated title: mag. mus. sacr.). A person with a Master’s degree in Church Music-Music Pedagogy can work in elementary and high schools (gymnasium), in elementary and secondary music and dance schools (as a teacher of theoretical music subjects); he or she can lead amateur choirs, orchestras, and similar bands and organize and conduct other musical activities; in the broader field of the music industry, he or she can work in music publishing (computer notation, editorial office, editorial board), in distribution, in music management, and in media outlets, for example, as an editor, reporter, or presenter.
By completing the Church Music-Gregorian Singing graduate study program, the student earns the academic degree of Master in Church Music-Gregorian Singing (abbreviated title: mag. mus. sacr.). A person with a master’s degree in Church Music—Gregorian Singing can work as a church choir leader (schola Cantorum); as a leader of ensembles performing early European music; in scientific institutes and institutions dealing with music research focused on the Middle Ages—Gregorian singing; in libraries and archives as a scholar and researcher who collects and nurtures Croatian musical heritage and traditional folk singing based on the medieval heritage.
The Institute for Church History, the Croatian Institute for Mariology, the Biblical Institute, and the "Juraj Križanić" Institute for Ecumenical Theology and Dialogue are the four scientific research institutes at the faculty. The faculty's organizational units, the scientific-research institutes, plan and oversee the development of scientific projects at one or more departments, host professional and scientific conferences, and coordinate the release of professional and scientific publications.

PROGRAMME EMPHASIS
The Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty has about one hundred study programs. Study programs come in two varieties: those taken in conjunction with another major, where students enroll in two study programs and pursue degrees in both, and single major programs, where students enroll in a single department and take the majority of their courses there. The departments of comparative literature, English language and literature, Croatian language and literature, history, information sciences, pedagogy, philosophy, psychology, and sociology offer the first kind of curriculum. The following language and literature programs are available for the second type: Classic Philology (Greek and Latin), East, West, and South Slavic Languages, English (including Scandinavian languages and literatures), French, German, Hungarian, Indology, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, and Turkish. Archaeology, Art History, Comparative Literature, Croatian Language and Literature, Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, History, Linguistics, Pedagogy, Philosophy, Phonetics, and Sociology are also offered. The faculty provides foreign students with Croatian language classes.
Students with BA or MA degrees are qualified to pursue employment in education, science, cultural institutions, libraries, research institutes, museums, archives, tourism, media, publishing, journalism, the business sector, advertising, public relations, diplomacy, welfare services, public and local administration, various free-lancing professions (publicists, writers), etc.
The faculty is dedicated to upholding quality and pushing the frontiers of understanding and knowledge through research conducted in a variety of academic disciplines and teaching. These include phonetics and languages and literatures (East, West, and South Slavic languages, English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indology, Italian, Latin, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish), information sciences, pedagogy, psychology, and sociology.
